Understand how you can reach your audience using personalized messages via email or SMS campaigns.

Reach your customers in one go and send them personalized, one-time communication for various events such as holiday sales, discount campaigns, and more using ‘Campaigns’.

E-commerce marketers are the quintessential masters at managing multiple customer communication channels. A well-rounded campaign today spans a host of channels including email and SMS.

Using Engage you can send out two types of campaigns, email, and SMS. Keep an eye out for the fast-expanding range of channel integrations, that you can quickly scale to using a bunch of other channels, such as WhatsApp. You can consider cross-channel integrations, perhaps push notifications which you should be able to access just a few months down the line.

The banner image allows you to take a look at how your campaigns have performed since the start of when you started using Engage. You can take a look at the total number of campaigns that you've sent. You can also take a look at the total number of opens across all of your campaigns, the number of clicks, the number of conversions that you've had on those campaigns, as well as the total attributed revenue. The icon in front of the campaign lets you know the Channels used.

Before you begin

  1. Decide on the group of customers (segments) you want to send the campaign to. You can either use pre-built segments or create one yourself.

  2. If you plan to send an SMS campaign, your phone number needs to be verified.

Steps to set up campaigns

  1. Click on ‘Campaigns’ under the Experiences tab on the left-sidebar

  2. Select the type of campaign you want to send - Email or SMS.

  3. Select the target segment you want to send your campaign to (Segment is a group of customers segregated based on behavioral attributes)

  4. Choose a sender email address for the email campaign or phone number for the SMS

    1. For emails: The sender email address is the address your customers will receive the emails from. You can either opt for a shared email domain or a dedicated/custom domain. Learn more

    2. For SMS: Your phone number needs to be verified. Learn more

  5. Type ‘Sender Name’.

    1. Example - If you type in Alex, the message will be sent as Alex from Lifesight

  6. Now click on 'Next'.
