Sending an SMS campaign

Learn how to create and send SMS campaigns on Engage with these step-by-step instructions.

On Engage, you can build your SMS templates, design your campaign, and/or schedule the campaign. To create an SMS campaign, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Campaigns and click on “Start New Campaign”.

  2. Setup your campaign

    1. Select SMS as a channel

    2. Select your target segment

    3. Select the sending number

  3. Design your SMS

    1. Type and customize your SMS

    2. Alternatively, use an existing template

    3. Personalize your message using custom Merge Tags

    4. Save as a draft if you are not ready to publish

  4. Review and publish

    1. Check that all your SMS links are valid

    2. Preview your SMS

    3. Send yourself a test SMS

    4. Publish or schedule the campaign

      1. It can also be scheduled for later. To do so, click on Schedule Start and select the date and time.

      2. The SMS campaign can also be saved as a draft. To do so, click on Save as Draft. To create a new SMS campaign:

* Selecting the 'unsubscribe text display' toggle will add unsubscribe text (STOP) to the SMS message. This means the customers will see an additional line in the SMS message you send and display - 'Reply “STOP” to unsubscribe.'

When any customers reply STOP to your SMS, they will turn off consent to 'Marketing' SMS from your store. In such a case, you cannot send marketing offers, promotional content or vouchers via SMS, to that contact. You can, however, share transactional messages such as order updates with them via SMS.
